Working with Storyline 1 and I need to cover a portion of a screen cast. I'm working to demonstrate how a new web based program operates but need to cover some confidential information with my training information. I tried a text box on a layer and showing the layer from the start but it doesn't actually appear when I preview. I really only want to cover a portion of the screencast.
I continue to work with my screencast and covering the confidential information. Any suggestion on how to keep the text box covering the information to stay matched with the correct area as I scroll down the screen? Your help is greatly appreciated.
First, just an FYI that replying via email includes your signature here in the forums. You're welcome to edit the post to remove that information if you wish.
The only option I could think of would be to make element appear on the timeline as you're screen is changing, but it's likely not the cleanest solution.
Thanks for the heads up about the signature. Appreciate the thought but that does get pretty messy. I've chosen to use a series of still screen shots and cover the text.
Yeah, depending on how much you have to cover and how much your scrolling it could get messy quick. Hopefully others in the community will be able to share additional thoughts here.

Hi Michael,
Have you seen the information here on ways to hide sensitive information in a screen recording?
I hadn’t see that previously. I think I was making it too difficult by trying to use a layer. Thank you for your help.

No worries Michael!
