I would like a checkmark to appear and stay on the main slide once the layer is over. I use the hover state to go to the layer and I don't know how to get the result I want.
Thanks so much Mickael.
One last question : I unfortunately changed the color for the hover
state of my button. How can I go back to the beginning and make it look
the same than my other buttons when they are in the hover state ?
You can select one of the 'good' buttons, select the Format Painter tool (it's one one of the tools in the Home tab) and click the 'bad' button to apply the formatting.

Have a look at the attached and see if that helps. I added a state to the object on the baselayer, which is shown when the layer is displayed.
Thanks. But I need the checkmark to appear outside of the button, on le the side of it. It needs to be a simple shape.
Then the same concept applies, just to a different object, see attached.
Thank you Michael. This is the result I want but I don't know how to
build the checkmark to obtain it. I am only beginning with storyline.

Go to Insert> Shape and select the checkmark from Basic Shapes.
And how do I create a hidden state instead of a normal state ?
Withe the Checkmark selected in the slide, click the States tab. The select Hidden as the Initial State.
Thanks so much Mickael.

Thanks so much for your help Michael. I really do appreciate.
