Hi Bod News! Thanks for the picture of your trigger panel; I had to dust off the French part of my brain. So it sounds like you want the learner to be able to hover over the button and show a layer, but only when the audio has ended.
I think I would change up the trigger slightly. I would use a true/false variable for the completion of the media. Set it to false as a default value, and then create a trigger to adjust the variable to true when the media completes. Build another trigger so that the action of showing the layer happens when the user hovers the mouse over the shape IF the value of the variable is true. Have a look at my example file (copy attached as well). It is working in the English iteration.
I tested out your trigger setup (also in English) and it worked, but I worry about that setup being limiting. If they must be hovering over the button as the audio ends for the trigger to fire, the learner might miss the opportunity to show the layer a few seconds after the audio ends.
However, I'll add your description to our report about French language states not working consistently so that we can continue to investigate this issue. Give my workaround a shot, and let me know if it is a decent fix! As soon as we can update this discussion with further detail about the language issue, we will.
Thanks so much for your help, I tried with the English version but it doesn't seem to work either. I am going to try your new solution even if as a beginner, it scares me a little.
It worked. But now I have another problem : the audio on the layer plays
at least twice and I don't know why. I did not create any trigger for it.
Thanks for your help.
Hm, that doesn't sound right. Can you share your .story file here? If not, you can send a case privately to our engineers and use the upload form here.
What's the solution you've got working? Are you able to share a copy of it here?
Also, just wanted to also give you a heads up that responding via email includes your signature here in ELH. There are some known problems using the names of states in conditions in the French (and maybe German) version.
Try searching here for french and states

Thanks for your help. At least I know I am not mad
I understand completely! Especially with variables; they can seem daunting at first. Here's a cute little article to make them friendlier.
Feel free to attach what you've got so far at some point, and this awesome community will provide lots of valuable feedback! :)
I am afraid I can't open your file, my version of articulate seems too old to do so.
I was speaking about the bodnews file.
Oh, I'm sorry! I created that in Storyline 360. Here's an example with Storyline 2. Same concept, different pictures :)

Hi Bod News
I downloaded the file above from Crystal and I only hear the audio once - what steps are you doing that you are hearing the audio twice?
I found a solution but I don't quite understand why it works now and it
didn't work before...
Thanks for your help

Hi Bod,
What's the solution you've got working? Are you able to share a copy of it here?
