I know this is a very basic question - but, how do I create a group? I've selected the items I want to group, clicked crtl+G on my keyboard and then hit enter but the items do not group. Is there something I'm missing?
Hi Danielle, I am using SL360 and just came across this issue too. For those of us used to grouping by the instructions above, we get a bit lost when the group function isn't there when right clicking any more.
In SL360 it is now located in the top pulldown menu. Highlight the items you want to group (hold down Shift and select them) in the timeline. The Drawing Tools (Format) tab will appear on the top of the screen. Within the Arrange and Align area is the option for Group and Ungroup. Hope that helps. Thanks.

Hi Danielle
try selecting both items Right click > group.
CtrlG is working for me also.
Are you using SL2 or SL360?

Thanks for popping in to share some additional tips, Lisa. I'm sure this could help others that run across this conversation in the future.
You can still get the option with a right-click in Storyline 360 as well:
