I'm following this tutorial to change the expression of a character on a button trigger and the List of Expressions does not appear on my Trigger box when I select the Character, as it does in the video. What am I doing wrong. Here's my box:
Based on your screenshot, it looks like you have a photographic character on your slide. As far as I know, the expression states used in the tutorial are only available for ILLUSTRATED characters.
That was the problem, which I figured out. But why is this? I need to use photographic characters. It seems there is a way to use states with photographic characters. Is that a workaround?
Hi, Deb: With the photographic characters, you'll need to manually create a new state--e.g., "shocked," "casually contemplating Infinity" and so on. Just head on down to the timeline, click on edit states, and there's a button down there for creating new states. Then you'd just insert the character with the pose/expression you want.
