Creating a gap fill activity for children

Hello. I'd like to create a gap-fill slide for children using our slides to learn a language but can't really find a suitable quizzing template to use. I've tried to use Drag & Drop but the letters tend to snap into misaligned positions and also if you have the same letter missing from two different words if you drag it to the 'incorrect' word (as set up on the answers) it marks it as incorrect even if technically it is correct. Does anyone have any suggestions / experience with this sort of slide please?

Paolo,
You should be able to use "snap to center" to get the letters to align. As for the same letter in two spots...that's tough to do on the same screen. Not an ideal solution, but I wonder if you could use color? See attached.

Thank you Mike. I'll give that a go.
