Creating a loop back quiz

Sep 14, 2017

I am new to Using Storyline thought I have had it for three years. I am trying to determine th ebest way to to perform the following operation easily.

At the end of a section I want to use a one page quiz slide. If they get the answer correct they can proceed to the next section.

If they get it incorrect the try again button loops them back to review the content. Then they can attempt the quiz again.

I am having trouble setting up the loop back correctly and having the quiz reset so they can attempt again.

Also I want to prevent them form advancing in to the next section without getting the quiz correct.

Is this s use a layer approach (which is new to me) or a trigger? If a trigger what do I set to get the parameters right.

Thank you for your help.

Hi there Mitch! I'm happy to help you here.

The easiest solution would be to copy the text from the content slide, and add it as a layer on the quiz slide. If the learner gets the question incorrect, the content layer will appear. When the learner closes the content layer, they can try the quiz question again.

Do you have a sample file started? If so, I'd be happy to help you set this up. You can attach it in a new thread comment using the Add Attachment button.
