Creating a menu which shows when a scene has been completed

Aug 22, 2018

I'm sorry to ask a basic question but I can't seem to find the answer!  I'm trying to create a menu slide which shows when the user has completed each section.  I have created the menu but is it possible to change the magnifying glass to a tick or something and for the box to change colour when the user has completed the scene?

Hi Amy,

The simplest way I can think of is a combination of variables, states and triggers.

  1. create a variable to track the status of each chapter (e.g. a Boolean called Chap1Complete)
  2. at the end of the chapter, use a trigger to set the variable
  3. create alternate states for the boxes (different colour) and magnifying glasses (to a tick)
  4. on the menu, use triggers to change the states of the boxes and magnifying glasses based on the value in the variables

Cheers,

Simon
