I am trying build a course question. This question the user is asked to enter the registration date. I created three custom dropdowns for the user to enter the month, day, year. The when the user makes their selection the dropdown states are updated to reflect the user's choice. I am trying to figure out how to mark this question correct, based on the states of these objects.
I think I can do this with a true or false quiz question but I am not sure of the details. Any thoughts?

Is this meant to be a question with a single correct month, day, year answer (for example, the correct answer is always January, 1, 2015)? Or are you hoping to have the user put in the date they personally registered on?
On that note, does this need to be graded?
And how did you build your custom dropdowns? The way they're built could affect what can be done done with them.
A lot of users would implement this with a "pick one" question type - as you can set the state of a correct/incorrect button that are offstage based on the state of your onstage elements. This example deals with fill in the blanks, but it'll be a similar set up.
