creating a test in Storyline
Jan 05, 2014
Hi!
I am creating a pesonality test within a training course that consists of 80 questions. The user should provide YES or NO answers to each of those. YES is given 1 score and NO is given 0 (should not be visible to users). Then, the questions are groupped into 4 categories (A, B, C, D) and the YES answers that fall in each category should be summed up (as their weight is "1"). Finally, the user should see how much she scored in each of the four categories. For example, A = 12, B = 4, C = 18, D = 10. Based on her scores she should recieve feedback on her preferred style.
Can anyone recommend how to better arrange this exercise using Storyline? I will appreciate your help greatly.
Thanks!
Maxim.

Hi Maxim,
I wonder if the Rating Assessment Survey tutorial (Screenr) I created here would be instructive.
On this page I've also included a link to a great tutorial by Jeanette Brooks.
Please shout out with any questions.
Thanks a lot Rebecca!
I am figuring out how to apply your video to my situation and no doubt your advice is very valuable. The link to Janette's video you mentioned about does not seem to work. Any idea what else I can learn from?
Thanks!
Maxim.
Hi Maxim,
I'm not sure if this is the original screenr Becky linked to, but Jeanette's original blog describing how to set up a "magazine style" assessment is here. It's set up using Quizmaker 09, but you could use similar methods within Storyline.
Hi Maxim and Ashley,
Ashley, tx for the link.
Maxim, tx for catching that. Because I'd placed the comma immediately after the link, the link didn't work. I've just reposted and left a space after the link, but in any case this is it: https://player.vimeo.com/video/149073336
JB used SL in this Screenr.
Thanks Becky for coming back to update the link!
