Hi there Mike. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

Thanks very much for sharing the file :)

I think the problem here is that the scale is currently set to score "By Choice", however, there are no answers entered into the question as correct or incorrect. Even if you weren't going to score the quiz, you could change the scoring option to "None", but you would need to enter selections into the question itself.

If no responses are entered into the question, Storyline doesn't know that they're a part of the question. Simply clicking on the buttons won't actually communicate with the quiz that something's been selected correctly or incorrectly if they aren't actually listed as an option for the question.

It looks like you're wanting this to be more of a survey. If that's the case, what you'll want to do is edit the question and select each button as a choice. Once you do this, you should receive the "Thank you" feedback for the interaction.

If you have any trouble with this, or any questions, just let me know.

Thanks and welcome again!

Hi Christine,

thanks for that it has got me a couple of steps forward, and works but only sets the active button for 1 or the 18,  although the variables do get updated and passed when i "Submit"  if set some "button sets, then the variables are updated and the radio button for each question is set, but when i do "submit"  it does not advance to the next slide and neither does it give an error

any ideas?

thanks

mike

Hi Mike,

I'm afraid I don't quite understand your last response. From what I gather, you were able to get the answers selected, but the question slide isn't jumping to the next slide, correct?

I'm afraid I'm not seeing this on my end. I added all of the buttons to the question, as I suggested earlier. I did notice that the trigger for the "Submit" button did not have the question selected, so I added that.

It should look like this:

After changing that and adding the questions, I see the "Thank You" prompt. After clicking "Continue" I'm taken to the next slide with the variable text have you have displaying in the slide.

Can you take a look at the modified version I've attached, please? Is this the way you'd like this to work?

Thanks!
