Creating multiple themes for switching between

Hi all! First post, please don't bite!
Basically, I'm looking to create a theme/template for my courses to build them from, but then I want to duplicate the theme and edit it to fit a different brand/appearance. I've tried to open the document I've built the original theme in and 'save as' that to do this, but this only meddles with the original theme file too.
I'm struggling to open these themes in new documents too, as they're losing any further master pages beyond the first one that I make, which is frustrating.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for the best approach to doing this?
Thanks!

Hi James and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
Are you following the instructions for creating these themes as explained here? Are you utilizing the latest update to our software?
Thanks, I've picked up how to work around switching between custom theme designs, but I'm still struggling with a few little bugs here and there, for instance the text boxes switching around.
