Creating quiz slide template that includes customized feedback?

Jun 19, 2015

Hi folks,

I regularly need to create modules that contain multiple question slides. They often contain customized feedback triggers, or custom submit buttons etc. It seems none of those things can be added at the master level, so I've been duplicating the question slides rather than having to do all the setup each time.

However, when I just go in and replace the question text on the duplicated slides, I'm finding that when I mouse-over the answers sometimes they jump around and even start quivering or flashing. I found one post that addressed that problem (https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/moving-rollover-issue-in-multiple-choice-questions-storyline) so I've been trying to go in and adjust the different states to align, but finding so much frustration in this!

Is there any way to just set rules that apply to all quiz slides in a presentation?? It seems like that functionality would be of value to anyone who creates presentations that include quizzes. Any other suggestions on handling this ongoing issue?

Thanks Leslie, that is a great resource and I can see making use of it -- but (newby here...) I don't quite understand how it will address my current issues? Should I be setting up a separate presentation with a bunch of formatted dummy slides using various answer-lengths, and then importing the closest match to try to avoid the quivering/flashing issue? I took a very short video of the problem with Replay -- is there a way I could send that to you? I don't want to post it publicly due to confidentiality issues.
