Creating Storyline for an APP

Oct 11, 2016

Having successfully used Storyline for e-learning hosted on our web server, now moving into creating an e-learning app.  This is creating untold problems as the first app needs to be available to i-phone users, i-pad, android, and tablet. Not for paying customers but members who are training their own service dog with our guidance. It's instructional storylines. I've looked at many areas of Heroes, Community, tutorials but need help. Do I have to adjust the sizing to suit mobile screen sizes? I am not using LMS but progression markers are built into the app. What are the ideal browser settings, one size fits all mobiles?

Hello, Susan!  We have some information that can help you design and deploy your courses for mobile devices.  As far as slide size goes, this guide can help you determine the optimal size based on mobile device dimensions.  When you're ready to publish your course, this article from the Storyline User guide can help you ensure you get the best results on mobile devices.

You mentioned building an app, and this discussion from other members in the community briefly describes ways to do that.  I wasn't sure if you just wanted to use the Articulate Mobile Player app for iPads and Android devices, if you wanted your learners to use their mobile browsers on those devices, or if you were using a "third party" app to launch your courses.
