I've created a variable that corresponds to a text entry field that I've placed on a layer. I want to make a text box on another layer change states depending on what the user has typed into the text entry field. For some reason it is not working. Any tips?
The text field is on the layer, "Request," and is called "DocType_Field." The text box I'm referring to is on the layer, "Generate."
Hi Kevin! It looks like you had created a state called Hidden for the text box. Hidden is a built-in state that will automatically hide your object from view, so you don't need to manually create one.
I deleted your Hidden state, and your trigger seems to work as expected. Let me know if that works for you!
