Cross between Try mode and Video on single slide

Dec 28, 2015

I am enjoying using Articulate thus far and it seem to be easy to create presentations thus cutting the time it will take to roll something out.

One thing I still have questions about is how to mix up an eLearning presentation so that it includes mix of show me (Video only) and try me (let the user do something after I show them the process or ask them to demonstrate skills that they have learned during a presentation).

Can someone advise on the best process to creating something like this?  Do I record the actions/process separately or just record the whole thing and somehow break them out.  If the last is the case how do I do that efficiently?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

That is a huge help.  The one area I am still slightly foggy on the process of using the same slides over again in try me.  So I take the recording and the first part is the video showing the user the process and the second part is having the user click a few places and type some details.  Can I use the same slides over or do I have to record again?  That is where I get lost in the process.

Hi Erik!

There is a hyperlink to our tutorial in my above reply.

You will not have to record again. You can insert the same recording again with a different mode.

You can then delete the slides that are not needed if that's the case.

Simply go to insert a recording and any that you are using in your project will be listed as well.
