First off, using Storyline 1, I have inserted a cue point with a trigger on a shape set offslide to show a layer at a specific point in the narration. My question is, how do I hide that layer again after a few seconds?
Could you include a trigger to hide the layer based on when the timeline on your shape ends, and set the length of the object timeline to match what you'd like to have it appear for?
If you're still unsure how to set this up, or that won't work with your scenario, could you share the slide in question so that we could take a look?
Thanks for that. I did get this issue fixed. Now my problem is that I want the audio from the original layer to continue while I jump to the next layer for 3 seconds. Is there a way to keep the audio going as the layers jump around?
If the audio is on the base layer, and you haven't set the layer properties to hide or pause the base layer, the audio elements should continue.
You may want to share a sample file here if you need more help, that way the community can weigh in on the best ways to design this set up based on what you already have.
I think I figured it out. I needed to hide the base layer since my audio was on layer 1, but not hide layer 1 for the audio to continue as i hopped to layer 2 for a few seconds. Lots of trial and error and I finally got it to do what I wanted.
