see attached - I have changed your trigger to when the states of Button 1 and Button 2 are visited. When you have layers, the base slide timeline doesn't start or end when you access a layer so it is difficult to use those conditions in a trigger - unless you are pausing the base slide timeline when the layer is viewed (personally I haven't used that condition).
Glad you got it sorted Michael - I didn't see any mention of hotspots in your story file but you can also use transparent shapes instead of hotspots which means you could use States.

Thak you for the solutions guys. Went with Padmakar Y version, as I'm using Hotspots instead of Buttons 1 & 2 on the original..
