Custom login page in Articulate Storyline

Our client has requested for a custom login page to be integrated into the course. We were able to create the triggers already for determining a new user from an old one, and the variables we have set seem to be saving properly (we're testing in SCORM Cloud). Our problem is, we have one boolean variable that we need to reset to its original value of "true" each time a user revisits the course in order for the triggers to work correctly.

Is there a way to do this? We cannot link the variable reset to a button (or to any object for that matter) since we need that variable set to "false" throughout the user's current session. The course also does not have an exit button which can possibly trigger the resetting of the variable as this has been removed (per request by the client).
