Custom Navigation buttons not working

Hi,
I am facing issues with the custom navigation buttons in the course I am presently working on. I had imported a ppt and then added the customized navigation buttons.
I have added triggers to the Next and Back buttons to go to the next and previous slides respectively. However, when I am previewing my course, the back button is not working. I can only move forward by clicking the Next button. Also, once I click the Back button, the Next button stops working completely.
I have also added a custom Menu button and it is also not working even though I have given the right trigger. I have also tried using hotspots but the problem persists.
I am totally at a loss now. Anyone can please provide me a solution.

Welcome to Heroes! I'm sorry to hear about your problem. I have a few questions.
Is this an issue in the Flash published output or the HTML5 published output? What browsers are you using? Which version of Storyline are you using when publishing? Would you be able to share your .story file here so that we can take a closer look?
If the file needs to be kept private, please see about submitting a Support Case. Make sure to upload your .story file when do so.
