I am just getting started with Articulate and created my own player, but I haven't figured out how to apply to the player to a project. When I open a new project and go to 'Player' I select my player under the Current Player tab, which is wonderful but then when I go back to my project the standard player is still in use. I believe I am definately missing a step.
Could you tell me if there is a way I can swap the previous and next buttons in the player? I have an Arabic course so the previous button would have to be on the right and the next button on the left .
Afraid there isn't a built-in method for this, but what you could do is swap the labels for them and then swap the triggers. So, you could trigger the default "Previous" button to jump to the next slide and the default "Next" button to jump to the previous slide.
If you're going to need this for each slide, it might be a good idea to start with a "go to" slide first in the project. That way, you can just duplicate the slide and add your content to it. Then, when you're done with the project, you can remove the original slide.
I might be missing something here, but can't you just hide everything set the player background to transparent, remove all buttons from each slide and then add your own custom buttons as part of your slides?
That certainly is an option if you didn't want to have the standard player set up, but we've had requests from users to create a customized player skin, and that's what this thread is specific too.
Custom buttons with triggers can be added to the top menu (right or left) using the Player Properties dialog. You can also add custom buttons to the master slide to trigger a close course option.
Is there a way to customize our this type of 'Exit' tab to only show on a certain slide, like you can adjust with the Resources tab?

How did you get the Square corners on the player? I can't find it and I really dislike the rounded corners.
Hi Glenn and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! I'm not sure if Steve if subscribed to this thread or not, but I thought that I would share another thread with you that may help you out with your request.

No updates yet on the Storyline SDK, but the best way to get them is to subscribe to the Articulate Word of Mouth blog.
Thanks for the interest!
It's now been over a year since the OP for this thread. Can a hint be provided on what part of this or next year when an SKD might be released?

First, you might want to try following the steps outlined in the following article:

Hi Glenn,
I set the player frame and background color to the same color. The square corners you see are the slide boundaries.
Nice! Thanks for popping back in with that Steve!
Glenn, just let us know if you need anything further.
