Can you create a customized player/skin using slide master? Just wondering if this is possible I've started a design but would like to know if I should commit my time to this or not?
You can apply the master slide to all your slides throughout the project, but it won't be the same behavior as a player skin, as the master slide element will sit behind the slides whereas the player would sit around the slides.
So in your opinion would this create issues down the line, if you were using it for multiple courses? If you create additional space for the the frame?
If you're going to use the same master set up for more than one course, I'd start that first in a .story file and then each course do a save as to be sure to keep those elements and continue to set up as you work on the courses.
In regards to the space for the "frame" I'm not sure what you're referencing? Could you share a bit more information?
For sure, with adding space to the "frame" I was regarding the stage size. I added pixels to the height to counteract the space I was using to create the player with the buttons etc.
Ah, thanks Kyle for clarifying. If you're adjusting the overall story size to help accommodate your custom player set up, the only thing you'll want to keep in mind is when importing that .story file into new courses to use as the "player" that you ensure the story sizes are set to match before doing the import. Otherwise things may scale or be disproportionate as described here.
Is there the ability to create a player with no frame at all? I can remove the navigation, tabs, title, control, but still have a top and bottom frame which is causing the scrolling in the video and it could be eliminated if I could remove these. Thoughts?
Thank you, It just still takes up a few too many pixels on the screen causing their to be a scroll bar on the video. Next time, I will need to make sure I develop the video with some "padding" on this outside instead of trying to use all the available screen size.
I have seen this job aid before, is there an updated one for SL2? the names for the player attributes are changed and I'm having a problem matching everything up. I've figured out a lot of them.

Hi CK! Perhaps this article will assist you.
You can create a "chromeless" player as described here - but there is always a certain element of padding as described here.
Thank you, It just still takes up a few too many pixels on the screen

Hi CK,
Just an FYI replying via email includes your signature here, so you're welcome to edit the post to remove that if you wish.

Hi Tabatha!
Here's the one for SL2.
