I'm trying to get my quiz questions to honor a master I created, and they just ignore it. I looked at the text placeholders in the master slide, there doesn't seem to be a special one for quiz question and answer field placement. Other than copying the x/y values and moving each field manually, is there a way to get imported questions to obey the master layout?

The Question layout has two placeholders: one for the question (which is referred to as the title) and one to hold all the responses.
If you reformat and/or move those text boxes, adding new questions should follow the designated design.
If you're importing questions, try re-applying the layout.
