I want to use a custom submit button for my questions. This works fine for the other question types but for the hotspot question, when you click the custom submit button it re-targets the hotspot location before evaluation, so you'll always be incorrect.
Is there a way of excluding parts of the screen from being targetable by hotspot or some other way of using a custom submit on this screen type?
Thanks for this fix! I have a further question however that is driving me mad!!!
Once I have created this, it worked fine - but - once you complete your quiz and click to review the quiz, you have green "correct" and brownish "incorrect" bars appearing at the bottom.
This was fine for my other slides, as the base layer hid behind them, but on the hotspot slide the correct/incorrect is sandwiched between the base and 1st layer, meaning that you can still see the custom submit button. I have tried lots of ways to to set triggers to hide the button but just can't!
Did you look at hiding the submit button based on it being a review? you can enable the review layer by adding any content to it in Form view and then you'll be able to modify those items on the slide layers to show or not. You may also want to look at the information here in regards to setting up Custom review layers.
Thanks to Sinchu and Britne for the tips, which helped me enormously!
I'd also say to beware of extra spaces in layer names. My hotspot interaction wasn't showing the Try Again layer, which was driving me crazy until I realised there was a space at the end of it!

Glad to hear that Heidi and thanks for the update.
Thanks Sinchu! After 3 years this workaround needs to be mentioned as one of the most present & working. ;-)
Hi Robert,
Glad that this still helped you out, and you can mark Sinchu's response as helpful to ensure it'll bubble up to the top.

Any ideas?

Glad this helped you out Craig, and I certainly don't remember seeing a lot of that spacing/layer name before - so good to know!
7 years later and I found this work around - phew :)
Sweet! Glad that this conversation was able to help you as well, Tania :)
I just wanted to say...this saved the day today :)
