Customise text in bubbles

Aug 16, 2012

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to custimise the text that is automatically added to bubbles to bring it in line with our language standards? For example, our standard is to write "Double-click", but in the bubbles that Storyline creates it is written "Double-Click". Also, non of the sentences end with a full stop. Is there a way to customise the standard glossary?

Thanks,

Kerstin

Thanks for your reply, Peter. And sorry for not being very clear when describing my problem. The essential piece of information I left out was that I am referring to screen recordings. Storyline captures my actions automatically and inserts text into the bubbles that are created automatically. Storyline must have some kind of glossary where this information comes from. I would like to change this glossary to bring it in line with our style guide, i.e. we would not write Double-Click but Double-click. Any ideas?

Thanks for clarifying Kerstin I should've been able to figure that's what you meant. Unfortunately, customizing the default text that appears in those captions isn't something that is currently supported, however, you have a couple options. One would be to edit them after the fact, and the other would be to modify the .xml file (which is not officially supported). Have a look, and good luck with the project!
