Customise the scrollbar

May 17, 2013

Is there a way to customise the scrollbar in Storyline at all? I'm currently avoiding using it due to it not fitting with any of our designs.

Sally - do you mean the scrollbar in the player, or the "Scrolling Panel" that's available under the Insert menu? Because I don't think you can edit the Scrolling Panel from the Insert Menu... it's just light gray by default. I would also have liked to customize it more for a project I was working on .... Maybe you can submit a feature request for that.

Jyothi,

Yes, you can change the color of the button's "Hover" and "Visited" states in the Process Diagram interaction.

Here is a tutorial on how to Add and Edit States

Basically you just:

  • Select the button you'd like to edit
  • Select the "States" tab from the panel at the bottom of your slide (it's the next tab after Timeline)
  • Click "Edit States"
  • Select "Hover" & make changes to the buttons color (changes will be reflected in th panel at the bottom)
  • Select "Visited" & make changes to color
  • Click "Done Editing States"

Ta-da! Thats it.
