The trouble with a true seekbar is that there is no way to jump to another part of the timeline, so the best you could have is a progress indicator. Even at that, it's more work than it's worth. You can use the video controls, but that isn't always a good idea. What works best for me is to start the timeline when the video starts, and use the slide seekbar.
