I was wondering if there was a way to customize the shapes that appear in the menu in the attached image (I don't know the name of the menu).
For example, all the shapes in this menu have outlines and the text is white. Can I set them somehow so that they do not have outlines and the text is blue?
That’s a great question! You can expand the shape styles menu to see the different ones available.
While you can’t customize that menu, you can create a default shape that can be used throughout the course. You can do this by right-clicking your shape and choosing Set as Default Shape. Check out this quick video demo, and here’s a handy guide on formatting shapes:
You have confirmed what I thought to be the case, that the menu cannot be customized. If I want to work with shapes without outlines or shapes with black outlines, those choices do not appear on the menu.
There is a drop shadow, a white outline, a gradient fill, and one that looks like it has a beveled edge. But the two that I use the most, no outline and black outline, are not present.
