customizing the Continue button
Oct 10, 2013
Hi there,
I followed your tutorial for customizing the button (http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/how-to-customize-the-continue-button-on-feedback-layout), but my new button isn't working, so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
I tried adding a new button on the Feedback Master for the Incorrect Layer - like the video. When I preview the slide, it appears like a static image that you can't click. I added the triggers - hide layer and next slide as well. The only workaround I found was to close the slide master and then add a button directly on the slide layer - which kind of defeats the purpose of the feedback Master. I tried buttons and text, neither work unless I put them on the actual layer.
In the tutorial, you don't delete the original "Continue" button. Is there a reason for that or is it just to show what's happening. I deleted it, so I'm wondering if this has something to do with it, or if I just missed a step.
Thanks,
Frances

Hi Frances,
Following along with that tutorial, I'm able to customize the continue button. You'll want to make sure you're adding the triggers to the feedback master, not to the individual layer. If you'd like to share your .story file here, we're happy to take a look at it.
can is send the .story file to you in another manner than on this forum? It's proprietary...
Of course! Sorry I didn't include it the first time. You can send it along to us here, which is a private link so only our Support team can view it.
Thanks, ok I uploaded them.
Fantastic tutorial! It's just what I was looking for to disable the Next button until certain actions were completed. Thanks again to the Support team
