Data/Text Entry Inputs - using iPad, can't select text box to type into.

Hi all,

So, as the title states, I have a course built using Storyline 3 (Update 9).

When using iPad 4 A1458 (iOS 10.3.3), Text/Data Entry are unresponsive, I can't select the box to type into it.

I have been through a lot of post on this forum with no joy.

(No additional layers, no object or element covering the entry input box etc).

Works fine on Windows desktop, even an Android phone running 6.0.1 worked.

Problem seems to be Text Entry box within the iFrame storyline produces, only when using an iPad running 10.3.3.

Have tested using iPad 7 w/ iOS 13.3.1, and the text entry box are select-able and work.

Can anyone think why this happens on 10.3.3 or a possible workaround using JavaScript to allow input?

Thanks for sharing what you're experiencing. I tested a sample Storyline 3 slide on an iPad running both iOSs. Here's a quick recap of what I saw:

  • iPad 7 iOS 10.3.3 and 10.3.1 (screen recording here): I was able to interact with the text-entry field in Safari.

Do you have any luck with my published output? (click here to view the Tempshare link). Also, is this happening in multiple mobile browsers or a certain one?

If you're able to share a link to your course, I'm happy to troubleshoot further so that we can find the culprit!
