Debugging help needed slide numbering by scene

Here's the Scene N of M numbering:

... here's the result I get in this .story. (Works in other .storys)
Any ideas what could be doing this? I've checked and re-checked the slide master. There is no duplicate master, it all looks clean.
The bad screenshot " of 0" was taken in Chrome playing the HTML5 published result on desktop.

Hi Sam,
If it's working in other Storyline files, and this is the only one causing you trouble, we'd want to take a look at the .story file to troubleshoot further.
Are you able to share a copy of your file with us? If so, you can upload at this link using the Add Attachment button or you always have an option to share privately with our Support Engineers. Either way, we'll delete it when done testing.
