Default format for SCORM in an LMS

I want to ensure that my course uses HTML5 as the default format when it is delivered as a SCORM file in our LMS.

  • What is the default for courses developed in Storyline 2?
  • Do I need to do anything to force HTML5 to be the default with flash as the fall back?
  • Does it behave differently depending on browser?

Storyline 2 will always default to the Flash output. It's only SL3 and SL360 that allow you to publish to HTML5 first.

If you have the HTML5 option enabled, people will see the HTML5 output if they don't have Flash installed and are using a browser that supports the HTML5 output.

If you are serious about the HTML5 output, I recommend upgrading the SL3 or SL360. The HTML5 output looks and works a lot better than the SL2 HTML5 output and SL3/SL360 also has better browser support
