Defining a JavaScript variable in story.html to be used in web object URL...??

Nov 15, 2016

Hi all!

I am trying to find a way to pass a parameter in a web object called at the end of an e-learning module. Basically, I rename the story.html to story.php and add some authentication at the very top. No problem with that. In php I have the user id which I somehow want to grab when calling the web object later.

If I declare a JS variable in story.php, say
var myUserId = "some data from php";
is there a change to retrieve it at a later stage and somehow use it as a request parameter in a web object URL...?

Thanks a million!

I dunno... Leslie gets pretty close sometimes!

Glad that article helped. There is a lot of useful stuff on Zsolt's site.

You've never been more right than here Matthew. ;-)

We couldn't do it without her - and with folks like you helping out in the community. It's always much appreciated especially the last week!
