I have a slide with three icons. Each has a "hover" state, so that it glows when the mouse hovers over it. Now the client does not want the icons to glow until AFTER the audio has completed. This seems pretty simple, but I'm stumped. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
Do you want all three icons to hover at the same time once the audio has completed?
If so you can great a disabled state the same as normal state which wont allow the user to activate the over. Right to control when it is allowed to work create a trigger to say, CHANGE STATE of Icon 1,2 & 3 to NORMAL when MEDIA COMPLETES then pick the audio file on that page.
Thanks for the advice, Stephen! I'm just trying to figure out how to prevent the hover from happening when the user hovers over the disabled state. I have created a trigger to change the state of the icon to NORMAL when the media completes, but the glow still executes when the mouse hovers over the disabled state
I placed an fully transparent box atop the buttons until 50sec. Any transparent object will block items underneath, This includes videos, webObjects and the like. Strategic placement of a transparent object can be utilized as safegaurds for a variety of purposes. Hope this helps.
I figured out what I was doing wrong, though -- I had CREATED a disabled state rather than choosing the available disabled state. Once I deleted my created state and then added it using the disabled option from the pull-down, I was able to get it to do exactly what I wanted.

Hey, Richard, thank you!

Oh good, glad you got it the original way.
Ah happy to hear you're all set Shel - and we tend to recommend using the built in states based on their design and definitions here.
Sorry for my late reply, I was going to suggest that but glad you got it working top job!
