Delaying Next button

Feb 08, 2013

I have a slide with several layers. I don't want anyone to click Next by mistake and miss some of the layers.  Does anyone know how I can delay the appearance of the Next button until all layers have been visited?

I thought about turning off the Next in slide properties and then adding a manual Next button at the end of the last layer...which would go to the next slide.  But, I need to direct them back to the slide (from the layers) and then move onto the next slide.

Thanks!

Hi Lynda,

I haven't tried this out yet, but just a thought. How are the layers being shown? Do the users click on a button or object to view the layers? If so, maybe you could add some variables and have the "Next" button show when those variables change. For example, a True/False variable could be set to False, but change to true when the user clicks on the button to view the layer. When the user views the final layer, you could call in the "Next" button. Again, I haven't tried this yet, but just wanted to add the suggestion.

Let us know how it goes!
