I've been working in Storyline 2 on a project in with a number of video files. When I delete the slides with the video and "Save As" to a new .story file, the file size doesn't get any smaller. Anyone else experiencing this?
Have you tried closing the program and reopening it? We keep the video for the initial time being for you to be able to use "undo" - but if you save the project, close, and reopen (you may need to save again) you should see the file size reduce.
Ashley, I believe there is more to it than this. I open a project file of 45.5 Meg then used 'save as' to clone it. Then, I deleted nearly all of the content in preparation to build a sister lesson. But the project file got NO smaller (still 45.5 Meg). SO as a test, I opened a new project and copied and pasted the all 4 scenes, one by one, into the new project and saved it... And it is small (1.5 Meg). Both the 46 Meg and the 1.5 Meg look from the authoring perspective identical and both play in the same way. There MUST be media files that do not get removed from the project scenes/slides are deleted. Would you agree? Is there a way to 'clear the library' so to speak?
