desktop versus laptop and triggers

Mar 01, 2021

Hi.   We have video demonstrations that we then break into practice and assessment scenes.  All are recorded in Storyline.  We are having issues when a learner is asked to press the Enter key. When the learner is supposed to press the Enter (or Delete) key to move forward, the course does not recognize this  and marks the question as incorrect.

Do I need to have a trigger for each of the Enter keys on a desktop keyboard?

Hi Patti,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing.

If I understand your question, yes, you will need to include both the Return and Enter key on a keyboard as entries:

They are both called 'Enter' on my system, but this is the Return button by the Qwerty keyboard and the Enter key on the number pad.
