Developer Notes

Jul 09, 2015

An insightful, talented, Storyline 2 Developer colleague of mine mentioned a great idea and I am wondering if others think it would be a good enhancement.

I find that I use the Notes tab for developer notes, especially if I am using Storyline as my storyboarding tool for rapid development.

My colleague said he thought it would be a great idea to have a separate Developer Notes tab. I love that idea! Printing developer notes could also be an option when printing to Word.

And, to take it a step further, what about a separate Narration tab that can be exported, by slide number, into a Word document for ease of audio recordings? And, wouldn't it be cool if the Notes and the Narration tabs could copy back and forth to each other?

Happy Thinking-About-Enhancements-Thursday!!

You wrote these a few years ago but I agree with all you said!! I currently use Notes for the Audio /Narration so students can read if they need to - I'd love for that to be a dedicated tab. Also just this morning I was revisiting an older project and couldn't understand why I had done something on a particular slide - eventually worked it out, but it took a while - would have been so much easier if there was a Developer Notes tab so I could read those (and would make it easier if a colleague had to work on the file, without needing to keep a separate log somewhere!).

I'll put in a feature request too based on your comments.
