Developing rubrics in Storyline
May 07, 2013
I am trying to develop a rubric in Storyline using the Quizzing feature and I am having difficulty. I want to have 4 different elements (explained in the rubric) that learners will assess themselves using a 4 point scale with an explanation of what each point on the scale would look like in relation to the element. Has anyone done this and how did you do it? I've tried using short answer, numerical and Likert scale options but, so far, haven't figured out how to do it. Am I missing something?

Hi, Dorothy and welcome:
Perhaps there's a better way to do this, but if you need a four-point scale you could through a white shape over the fifth scale of the likert scale question, and of course you can change the "strongly disagree, agree," range items. You can also remove the numbers if you wish.
To edit the likert question, just head to the bottom right. See below.
Let me know if that doesn't help. Apologize if I misunderstood what you were asking. --Daniel
Thanks. This may do the trick. I'll play with it and see. Including rubrics in the quizzing tool would be very helpful to some of us. It's a pretty common assessment tool.
