What are the differences between the two triggers. The course I am working on is for a web but will be published under scorm (apparently the new website doesn't like it any other way). I need to create a button to exit the course so that the website can track that the course has been completed. However, I don't know how the actions differ between the two trigger options.
Hello Kaye! The course completion trigger allows you to control precisely when in your course Storyline sends a completion status to your LMS. The exit course trigger attempts to exit the course and close the browser window.
Depending on how you're currently tracking completion in your course, you may not need to use a complete course trigger.
There are three ways to send completion to the LMS:
The number of slides viewed
A quiz result
Completion triggers
So if you're already tracking by number of slides viewed or have a quiz, you don't need to use the course completion trigger.
