Difficulties creating a branching scenario
Aug 13, 2019
Hello
I am trying to create a branching scenario for two different roles where the core of the course is the same and just has a different path towards the start and end - it branches out then comes back to the core a couple of times.
I have a slide early on where users click on a button to define their role, which then makes the corresponding variable true.
Then later where the story branches out there is a slide with two layers, on the second layer there is a continue button which takes them to slide x if 'Role 1' is true and slide y if 'Role 2' is true.
The trouble is the button seems to take them to slide x by default and never gets to slide y. I have played around with the variables but can't get the button to take the user to slide y. Any help would be appreciated!

Doing something like this requires that you add conditions to the trigger. Let me know if you need help doing that.
Yeah I have conditions going to slide x if Role 1 is true, and slide y if Role 2 is true, do I need any more than that?
That should work. Can you share your slide or a picture of your triggers?
Sure thanks Diane, I have xxxd out company information.
In the select your role slide telephone adviser hotspot, the jump to slide 3.1 occurs before the setting of the TelephoneTrue variable so the variable never gets set.
Youo are an absolute star, I had to make both variables 'False' when the timeline started on the role selection slide, however this solved the issue thank you!!
You're welcome. It's a lot easier to see these things in courses you didn't create.
