Difficulty Viewing Published for Web Content on Mac

May 20, 2015

Hello! I'm new to Storyline and have taken over a project at my company. I'm having trouble viewing the published content. Once the project has been finished, I've published it via the 'WEB' option and saved it to a local folder in my desktop. (NB. This is on a Windows machine) I then tested the 'story.html' file and it works fine, but when I go to view the same file on my work computer (an iMac) The browser loads the file, but nothing shows. I've tried in Firefox, Chrome and Safari and none of them run, I've downloaded the latest and greatest FlashPlayer, and updated each of the browsers in turn; and I've also tried to run the 'story_html5.html' version which only shows the words 'Next' and 'Previous' in default Times New Roman font. I'm using Storyline 1 and can't help thinking there's something blindingly obvious that I'm missing along the lines of the fact that I'm not seeing a generic URL that can be accessed via any browser.

Anyone got any ideas?

Much appreciated!

Hi, Nicola, and welcome! There are a few things I would like you to try, and if issues persist, you may feel free to post your file here and we'll be happy to take a look.

First, please make sure you are working locally as described here, and that you are testing your published output in the intended environment. For your reference, here is also information on System Requirements
