Im having difficulty inserting a large image into SL2. The
image is longer in widththan the actual SL screen. As I insert the image, it
resizes/scales down.In other words the
image fits inside the SL screen (approx. 900 x600). When I try to scale the image to its original
size, the image quality is not great. Is
there a way around this?
have you tried holding the SHIFT key down to resize the image...I normally find that retains the image quality (as long as image quality is there initially)
Yes, I hold down the shift key to keep portion and quality. The quality is there Wendy. I just don't know why the image isn't inserting into SL2 in its original jpg size..
Hi louise, The resizing is just something Storyline does for you on insert. If you right click the image and select size and position you can reset it to its original size. The quality should not be affected.
The elements of an image that you can edit are detailed here, so you may also want to look into those as well as the suggestions from Jeff and Wendy. Also, David has some helpful tutorials in this thread about working with images and how Storyline scales them.
I just encountered this same error. For me, the fastest solution was to cut the image into three pieces and import each piece separately, then group them back together before dragging onto the scrollbar.

That's what I usually do as well, I tile images that exceed the dimensions of the .story file.
