JOB SUMMARY 
The eLearning Curriculum Consultant is responsible for collaboratively designing, developing, delivering and maintaining enterprise-wide learning and development programming and projects aligned with Dignity Health’s strategic goals (e.g., Enhancing the Patient Experience, Mission and Values Integration, etc.). This position interacts with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization to create learning and organizational effectiveness solutions that grow individual and organizational capabilities to drive accomplishment of key initiatives.
 
SPECIFICATIONS
Experience:
Approximately 3-5 years of experience designing and developing course content
An eLearning portfolio demonstrating a proven ability to make compelling and cohesive courseware.
Experience in building eLearning strategies to support corporate initiatives.
 
Education:
Bachelors in Instructional Design, eLearning, Communication or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Masters in Instructional Design, Communication or related area preferred.
 
Special Skills:
Knowledge and application of adult learning theory and instructional design principles with a strong focus on eLearning/virtual design and training methodologies, utilizing the latest interactive learning technologies.
Working knowledge of various authoring and eLearning development tools; may include ADOBE, Articulate, Captivate, Web-Ex, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of recording and editing audio and video using eLearning development tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to design effective eLearning training programs and assess their impact on employee performance.
Self-motivated and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Expert level facilitation skills.
Ability to develop, design and deliver workshops in multiple formats in a full range of organization topics.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
 
Travel Requirement: up to 25%
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Works with HR and functional business leaders to collaboratively design, develop, and deliver training programs through online courses (asynchronous and synchronous), classroom interactions, self-paced learning.
 
2. Conducts needs assessments to identify new development needs and recommends preferred training methods.
 
3. Ensures the contents meet learning objectives by assessing, developing, and deploying feedback through regular reports to leadership.
 
4.  Researches and organizes content that is logical for the learners.
 
5.  Maintains, posts, and updates courses as needed; works with system resources regarding learning management system.
 
6.  Achieves desired outcomes operating in a team-oriented, process-focused environment, applying an understanding of adult learning principles and group dynamics.
 
7. Develops and maintains positive working relationships throughout the system.
 
8. Serves as a resource for other duties as assigned including other learning and organizational development initiatives.
