Disable all text fields on a click of an active button

Hi E Learning Heroes!
Is there a way to disable the text fields on a click of an active button?
So after completing this 5 text fields, the button becomes active to show a layer, but my plan is to show the layer but the 5 text fields must be locked or can't be edited.
I need your awesome help again.

Hi Vince!
One idea that quickly came to mind could be to put a transparent shape over top of the text fields.... The shapes could initially have a state of "hidden" but you can set up a trigger that makes them become "normal" (or visible) on the click on the button. =)
