disable items when one has been clicked

Feb 19, 2020

Hi everyone. I have a problem with a project I'm doing. I have many layers on layers, so my normal solution of clicking disable layers on base layer won't work. I have a table of contents. When you click one of the items, a colored box slides in with a close button. The problem is, if you don't click the close button and then click another one of the content items, the colored box slides pile on top of each other. I'm thinking the best way to go about fixing this problem is to disable the Table of Contents items once the sliding box comes out. I'm not sure about how to do this, if a variable is needed or what. I would appreciate some help.

I have attached the file. To get to the Table of Contents, first click on the tab on the right that says "Part 2-Scope." Thanks.

Imagine my surprise on trying to open this and finding that it isn't actually a StoryLine 2 story :) !!

I went through, and clicked on everything. To me, it isn't a problem, if a new layer covers the old ones. Well, if you click them all, then go back and click one a second time, it appears suddenly without sliding in.

If that is a problem, you can try the triggers on the Scope and Tasks buttons on the TOC in the attached sample. Clicking the TOC hides all the layers before opening the new one. Remember, this is a visual medium. It doesn't matter what something does; all that matters is what it looks like it is doing. So if the program tries to hide a layer that is already hidden, nobody sees that, and nobody cares.
