Disable Next Button on top slide layer

Jan 09, 2017

I'm working on my first real Storyline project and am working with slide layers.

I've created this interaction and would like to show the Next button as disabled on the top layer. I've tried a few things and it just doesn't work like the Prev button disables on the base layer.

What to do?

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

the Prev/Next buttons are player buttons - there is only one of each button for each slide and the layers belong to the slide.

What is it that you are trying to achieve and I might be able to help you.  If you can share your story file it will make it easier to help by working with your specific setup. Just use the grey 'Add Attachment' button at the bottom of the post to upload.

I'm basically trying to build these slides like a PPT deck but wanted to give the user some control over going back. It looks like I can't just send the timeline to a prev. cue point.

Are there other standard workarounds people do to help a user reload a built slide or otherwise go back?

Here's my other attempt.
