Disable Player Navigation Button During Slide Transitions?

May 30, 2017

Hi,

Is there anyway to disable the navigation buttons in the player bar during a slide transition? It has been causing some errors on my slides.

In my case, I have a Slide Transition and some Object Animations on my quiz slide and I only want the user to be able to submit after the Slide Transition and Object Animations have all ended. But with the Slide Transitions, the quiz can be submitted even during the transition animation.

At first, I've tried to apply the triggers ChangeState>SubmitBtn>Disable>TimelineStart and ChangeState>SubmitBtn>Normal>TimelineEnd . However, the slide transition at the entrance of the slide seem to have ignored these triggers.

Then I tried to control the player buttons with a variable called 'OnTransition' and placed it to a default True. I also applied the triggers AdjustVairable>OnTransition>False>TimelineStarts and SubmitInteraction>SubmitBtn>IF>OnTransition = False. But once again, this method didn't seem to work either.

Does anyone know a way to lock the navigation buttons during the slide transitions?

Hi Jia! Sorry your posts keep getting flagged. I'll bring this up to the team and we'll look into why this is happening.

The reason why you're seeing the Submit button as Normal until the slide transition finishes is because the timeline doesn't officially start until the transition completes.

Have you tried shortening the duration of the transition?

Yes, I have! But Im trying to prevent users who have the habit of spamming the navigation buttons to cause any errors in the slides. So Im hoping for a way to disable the navigation buttons during the slide transitions- even for that half a second.

Is it there any possible solution to solve this other than changing the type slide transition and shortening its duration?
