Disable the menu tabs after learner completes a certain topics

Feb 12, 2015

Firstly, I must say that the forum here is splendid ! Thanks for all the contributions, a great way to exchange learning !

I have a question that deals with the menu tabs. Suppose a learner has to complete 2 topics of a certain module. And upone completing his first topic can the menu tab be disable or if he mouse over that topic in the menu tab, it shows a layer that tells him that he has completed ?

Cheers

Noel

I have just uploaded the file to dropbox and emailed you the link.

I added a tick to the state of the topic text box - called Visited.  It is one of SL inbuilt states so you don't need a trigger with it - it automatically changes to that state when the user clicks it.

If you want to make them go in order - you can set Topic 2 and the Results to an initial state of Disabled.  Then add a trigger to change the state of Topic 2 to normal when the state of Topic 1 is visited.  If you don't understand what I mean - I can update your file and reload to dropbox for you - just let me know what behaviour you want.
