Disabled states

Feb 25, 2017

Hi I am trying to create a drag & drop testing students' ability to choose protective equipment in order. With each correct selection the 'model' is dressed in the correct gear. How do I make sure they select the objects in the right order? I can't figure out how to have 'wrong' objects in an initial disabled state.

Many thanks

J

Hi jean

hard to say without seeing your file setup but here are a couple of things that might work for you.

You could reveal the items one at a time

or here is how to set the disabled initial state

Otherwise if you've  got a file started can you share it - easier for someone to offer a solution if they can work with your specific file.

Hi Jean

I know this is a POC piece so I understand its WIP. I duplicated your slide to play around with it to get what you asked for in your post.

i created a disabled state for each piece except the suit and used the Edit state tab to set them into an initial state of disabled.

Then I set triggers:

  1. Change state of Boots to normal when object Suit dropped on Dropzone
  2. change state of latex gloves to normal when boots dropped on boots hotspot
  3. change state of nitril gloved to normal when latex gloves dropped on dropzone etc

Hope this helps or gives you some idea.  May want to create hotspots for the gloves and safety googles so they don't just become tiled on the suit - that will change the triggers slightly.

Shout out if you need more help.
